Country star Toby Keith thrilled liquor store patrons in Pennsylvania on Wednesday (14Sep11) when he showed up to personally autograph bottles of his signature alcohol.
Keith stopped by the Manchester Township Wine and Spirits store to promote his custom drink Wild Shot Mezcal, and caused quite a stir in the town, prompting many fans to stand in line overnight just to purchase the beverage and have it signed by the I Wanna Talk About Me singer.
The country star, who was in town for an evening concert at the York Fair, joked to local newspaper the York Daily Record, "I hope all these people go home and drink all this before they show up (to my concert tonight)".
The tequila-type liquor, which is made of green agave from Mexico, was launched earlier this year (11) and it's already a big hit.
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board chairman Patrick J. "PJ" Stapleton Iii says, "There are few names bigger and more recognisable in the entertainment and music world than Toby Keith, and we couldn't be more pleased to now welcome him as part of the spirits industry, with his new Wild Shot Mezcal.
"Our customers are always eager to try the latest products the industry has to offer and we're eager to bring Wild Shot Mezcal to them."
