Country star Toby Keith's daughter Krystal has been signed to her dad's record company.
Krystal Keith grew up wanting to follow in her famous father's footsteps, but the Red Solo Cup hitmaker refused to give his child
special treatment and he made her work twice as hard to prove herself in the music industry.
After paying her dues, the college graduate has been added to the roster of recording artists at his label, Show Dog-Universal, which also boasts Trace Adkins among its acts.
She tells TasteofCountry.com, "My parents didn't just want to hand me everything. They taught me to work for it and work hard. So, I started singing in competitions when I was 13 years old. I always knew I was going to be a singer, but my dad taught me that experience is what would get me there, and this was a great experience. I learned a lot."
Toby has also agreed to produce Krystal's debut album alongside Mark Wright, who has previously worked with Trisha Yearwood, Lee Ann Womack, and Gretchen Wilson.
