Mixed martial arts star Tito Ortiz has been cited for misdemeanour battery following an altercation in a Las Vegas nightclub.
The former Ultimate Fighting Champion was partying at Drai's at The Cromwell hotel on Friday morning (12Feb16), when he allegedly clashed with a female clubber after spotting her taking photos on her cell phone.
He reportedly confronted the woman and attempted to snatch her mobile, causing a scuffle to break out, according to TMZ.com.
The woman, who has not been named, tells the website Ortiz must have thought she was trying to get pictures of him at the club and when he approached her, he tried to "whip her around", leaving her "scared for (her) life".
Police were called to the scene, where they decided against arresting Ortiz, and cited him instead for the reported incident.
Ortiz, 41, has yet to comment on the report, but he could face further trouble as his alleged victim is said to be considering her legal options.
It's the latest personal problem for the fighter - he is also being sued by his ex, porn star Jenna Jameson, over the ownership of their former California home, while he is currently serving probation for a 2014 charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
