Mixed martial arts star Tito Ortiz will not be prosecuted over an alleged nightclub dispute due to a lack of evidence.
The former Ultimate Fighting Champion was partying at Drai's at The Cromwell hotel in Las Vegas in February (16) when he confronted an unnamed female clubber, who was trying to take his picture, and allegedly attempted to snatch her cell phone, causing a scuffle to break out.
He was cited for misdemeanour battery by police officers, who decided against arresting him after being called to the scene.
A representative for the Clark County District Attorney's Office has now revealed to TMZ.com there is not enough evidence to get a conviction, so prosecutors will not pursuing criminal charges against Ortiz.
The 41-year-old is also locked in a legal fight with his ex-girlfriend, porn star Jenna Jameson, who is suing him over the ownership of their former California home. He is also serving probation for a 2014 charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
