Tim Burton's 2003 movie Big Fish is heading to the New York stage as a Broadway musical with Hugh Jackman tipped to take the leading role.
Ewan MCGregor starred in the fantasy picture, based on Daniel Wallace's novel of the same name, about a travelling salesman who recounts tall tales of his colourful life on his deathbed, and the film is now set for a major musical make-over.
The movie's original producers, Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen, are behind the new stage show, which will feature songs by The Addams Family musical composer Andrew Lippa, and Jackman is rumoured to be in talks to star after taking part in a recent read-through of the script, according to Variety.
Big Fish is due to launch on Broadway early next year (12).
