TIEKS is the new name to get acquainted with in the flourishing landscape of UK dance music.
Recently announced new single 'Sing That Song' (featuring up and coming London r&b and soul talent Celeste) has been quick to kick up a flurry of viral,
word-of-mouth excitement, currently sitting in the Top 20 and Top 10 Future hits UK Shazam charts, as well as being added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist.
Add a recent high-profile support slot for Lauryn Hill in her London date, and it is clear that TIEKS is firmly set to make his mark.
Now comes a new remix of 'Sing That Song' by electro luminary and Turbo Recordings head honcho Tiga, upsizing the track into seven and a half minutes of pulsating club groove punctuated by the originals' chant-like vocals.
TIEKS, aka London producer-come-songwriter Mark Tieku, has been bubbling up with high profile remixes for Jess Glynne, Rudimental and MNEK and being featured by Annie Mac as part of her her Free Music Mondays with original track 'The Number', as well as taking part in DJ Monki's new 'Monki And Friends' EP.
Not strictly a newcomer, TIEKS cut his teeth co-writing behind the scenes with Florence And The Machine among others, going on to then catch the production bug himself.
'Sing That Song' brings forth smooth tropical house with knowledgeable nods to italo and breezy yacht disco, the lyrics a paean to late night/early morning music intoxication, articulated by an impossibly catchy chant refrain.
