Thia Megia bounced back from last week's negative criticism to wow the judges on last night's American Idol.Thia Megia, the 15-year-old finalist on this year's American Idol, delivered the performance of the night during yesterday's Motown themed show, reports OnTheRedCarpet.com.Megia was among those in danger of departing the singing contest this week, but she shocked Jennifer Lopez and co with an upbeat rendition of the 'Martha & The Vandellas' smash-hit 'Heatwave'. Megia had previously received lukewarm responses from the judges after performing a series of ballads, but Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Lopez were unanimous in their praise for the singer's latest effort. The Aerosmith frontman told the 15-year-old, "You've taken a step out. I love it" and Jackson echoed the comments, saying, "We knew you had it in you. I know I've been tough on you. You took a chance tonight. You can really sing. You moved up a notch tonight. Push!".
Aside from Thia Megia's performance, contestants Scott Mcreery, Lauren Alaina and Casey Abrams also won praise from the judges. Stefano Langone was criticised for his rendition of Lionel Richie's 'Hello' and he is now favoured to be eliminated on tonight's results show.
