Indie rockers The XX are turning their week of headline dates at London's O2 Brixton Academy into a mini-festival of arts event.
The British band are scheduled to play a record seven nights in a row at the famous music venue in March (17).
In addition to the headline gigs, the band have announced they are taking over venues around Brixton for a series of arts events and parties, dubbed Night + Day.
Acts appearing include American rocker Cat Power, Chance the Rapper collaborator Francis and the Lights, and Oscar nominated composer and musician Mica Levi.
The group have also taken over local cinema Whirled for a week of film screenings, will launch a pop up shop in the London borough and are collaborating with Reprezent, a local radio station to broadcast performances and DJ sets from artists performing at the mini-festival.
Bandmember Jamie xx will also host an all day party at the O2 Brixton Academy ahead of the group's evening concert on 12 March (17).
Collections will be made in support of local charities and social enterprises.
The electronica trio, comprised of Jamie, Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim, has hosted similar mini-festivals in Lisbon, London and Berlin in 2013, with Solange Knowles performing at the London event.
More acts and events are set to be added to the Night + Day lineup ahead of The XX's first Brixton date on 8 March (17).
The band's latest record I See You, topped the U.K. album chart in January (17), reaching number two in America's Billboard Hot 200 rundown.
