The rock veterans were among the big draws at the first Isle Of Wight in 1969, and they were back a year later.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend returned to headline in 2004 and now they've been announced as Saturday night headliners for the 2016 event, set for June (16).

The fabled British festival will also feature sets from Queen featuring Adam Lambert, Stereophonics, Faithless, and former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft.
