The View Announce New Aa Single And 2012 Winter Tour

The View put the finishing touches to an excellent year, that saw them return with the Top 10 album 'Cheeky For A Reason', with the confirmation of a fresh Winter Tour. The tour will see them perform up and down the country as well as 2 special shows at the legendary Glasgow Barrowland and finishes with a homecoming show at Dundee's Caird Hall. The band will also digitally release a special double A-side in time for Christmas on 2nd December. The bundle release will feature 'Tacky Tattoo' and 'Hold On Now' as well as a B-side cover of Amy Winehouse's 'Addicted'. The bands homage to the late pop legend will also be featured in the forthcoming Q Magazine tribute issue.

Having spent this year touring through Europe, the UK and Ireland which included the Reading and Leeds festivals as well as BT London Live in Hyde Park, The View will return to play the following dates:

Produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals), 'Cheeky For A Reason' neatly encapsulates the band's mission statement of creating an album akin to "Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' done by The Clash." The album is the band's fourth after the Mercury-nominated #1 debut 'Hats Off To The Buskers', the Top 10 follow-up 'Which Bitch' and 2011's Top 20 'Bread & Circuses'. Representing their most freely eclectic work to date, the album flows from the Celtic-influenced melodic rush of 'How Long' through the pounding punk of 'AB (We Need Treatment)' to the 70s-styled hybrid of piano pop and rich vocal harmonies that define the closing track 'Tacky Tattoo'.
