The Terminal has raced to the top of the British box office charts after
its first weekend (04SEP04) on release.
Director Steven Spielberg's tale of lost identity took nearly $2.7 million
(GBP1.5 million) - knocking Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn's DODGEBALL: A TRUE
UNDERDOG STORY off the top spot.
Dodgeball managed to fight off the other new releases to hold on to second
place, while comic caper HELLBOY leapt into third place with weekend takings of
$1.65 million (GBP1.1 million).
Film-maker M Night Shyamalan's spooky The Village and thriller THE BOURNE
SUPREMACY complete the top five.
