Heart In A Cage

The Strokes release Heart In A Cage, through Rough Trade Records. This being their second single from their #1 third album 'First Impressions Of Earth' (out 2nd January) and follow-up to the Top 5 smash "Juicebox", their biggest hit to date. Recorded from the band's rehearsal room in NYC with producer David Kahne (No Doubt, Bruce Springsteen), this album follows-up the platinum 'Room On Fire' (1.5 million albums sold worldwide) and award-winning debut 'Is This It'.
First Impressions Of Earth was recorded at the band's Manhattan rehearsal studio with David Kahne producing (with assistance on three tracks from Gordon Raphael, producer of the band's previous efforts, Is This It and Room On Fire).
The Strokes have also confirmed their return to the stage, beginning with a festival tour of South America October 21-29. Pre-release club dates in Europe, the UK, Japan, Australia and North America are currently in discussion, with a full U.S. tour planned for early 2006.
