London theatre star CONNIE FISHER has been forced to pull out of musical The Sound Of Music for a further two weeks due to illness.
The singer was cast as MARIA VON TRAPP after winning British TV talent show HOW DO YOU SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE MARIA? last year (06) and has been playing the role in the West End revival ever since.
But the 23-year-old, who missed several performances last month (FEB07) after falling ill, has now been ordered by doctors to stay at home to ensure she returns to full health.
A spokesman says, "Through a desire not to let the public down, Connie sang through a heavy cold which caused a vocal injury. It needs complete rest to recover."
