The 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV, owned by Gandolfini's mob boss character Tony Soprano in the show's final three seasons, was autographed in three places by the late star, and it went under the hammer as part of the Massachusetts-based RR Auction sale this week.
The Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), one of two identical models used during production, had a starting bid of $5,000 (£3,125), but it sparked a bidding war and was eventually snapped up for $119,780 (£74,863).
"For fans of the show, it's an instantly recognisable prop from one of the most acclaimed television series ever produced," says RR Auction boss Robert Livingston. "Once we had realised we had broken the previous sales record price for a Sopranos used vehicle, we were thrilled with the results of the auction."
The other model used in The Sopranos sold at auction in 2008 for an impressive $49,500 (£30,938), while a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, featured in the first four seasons of the drama series, previously sold for $110,000 (£68,750).
The Sopranos ran from 1999 to 2007. Gandolfini died from a heart attack in 2013, aged 51.
