The Smoking Hearts are set to play a run of headline dates in March to support the release of their new album 'Victory!' on Bomber Music. It all kicks off with a free show at the Old Blue Last on 26th March. As Calvin from the band says, "We can't wait for people to hear our new record Victory!. It's by far our best work so far, and we know that people are going to love it. Can't wait to get on the road." Vocalist Ben Mills is equally excited - "Finally getting Victory! Released is a dream come true, it's been a long time coming but it'll be worth it to get it into people's ears! Can't wait to see people's reactions to the songs live."
Previous live shows of The Smoking Hearts have seen guitars smashed and drum kits sprawled across stages and it is not uncommon to find half the band playing in the crowd, while singer Ben Mills is in the back of the venue, on the bar, or hanging from the rafters, all the while coercing the crowd into joining the party. Playing with the likes of The Used, Bullet For My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, Gallows, Death By Stereo, Andrew WK, The Smoking Hearts have cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting young bands in the U.K.
The album is a visceral blend of high-energy Rock 'N' Roll Punk and Hardcore, continuing the story from their debut full-length 'Pride of Nowhere'. 'Victory! is set for release in Europe on March 25th through Bomber Music. Clocking in at just over the 30 minute mark, Victory! is a celebration, a testament to The Smoking Hearts' DIY/ 'never say die' approach to life onstage and off. Victory! was recorded with Dan Weller and Justin Hill (Sikth, Enter Shikari, Young Guns) over a period of four weeks in Fortress Studios, London.
