British girl group The Saturdays suffered a spate of bad luck after Friday 13th - the band missed out on topping the U.K. charts and two bandmembers fell ill over the weekend (14-15Aug10).
The five-piece group appeared to suffer the consequences of the unlucky day, which fell on Friday (13Aug10) - the band's latest single Missing You was set to take the number slot on Sunday (15Aug10) after it was shown to be outselling competitors in the mid-week charts.
But rappers Flo Rida and Eminem stole the number one and two spots, leaving the band at three.
And the bad luck didn't stop there - singers Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White were struck down with a vomiting bug and they were forced to pull out of a gig at London's G-A-Y nightclub on Saturday (14Aug10) because of the pair's ill health.
Bandmate Mollie King says, "We're obviously disappointed because we'd love to be number one. But number three is still a great result. Once Frankie and Vanessa are better we'll all celebrate as it's still a hit."
