Naked The Rakes frontman ALAN DONOHOE was "apprehended" by Spanish police yesterday (05JUL06) as he took part in an animal rights protest against the annual running of the bulls in Pamplona. The British singer was one of more than 1,000 nude activists, organised by People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA), who took to the streets two days before the event. The famous festival sees daredevils running ahead of a pack of six bulls. He says, "I went to Pamplona to help PETA campaign against bull-fighting and the bull runs that they have there. "I did take all my clothes off and tried to run down the streets but got apprehended by riot police." He adds, "It's not necessary to eat and exploit animals. It's just easy not to think about the consequences of your actions, so, again, using animals for your food or your clothes is unnecessary and causes unnecessary suffering."
