The Police have announced that they will be extending their world tour in order to allow ticketholders of previous shows that were postponed to watch their idols.
Disappointed fans will be able to catch the boys in June next year when the newly reformed group will play extra gigs to make up for the shows cancelled due to lead singer Sting'S vocal problems, announced Live Nation Global Touring today (October 24th).
"We're thrilled to be able to bring the band back to Europe to make up these shows", said Arthur Fogel, chief executive of Global Touring for Live Nation and promoter of The Police Tour.
Those who were expecting to watch the band in Manchester on October 15th can now do so on June 17th 2008, while October 16th ticketholders are invited to a rescheduled show on June 18th.
The Police start the second American leg of their world tour at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 31st and will continue on to Central and South America throughout November and December.
