The Lord Of The Rings: THE RETURN OF THE KING has won yet another accolade - it's been voted film of the year in a British TV poll.

Viewers of respected BBC1 show FILM 2004 chose the third and final movie adaptation of JRR TOLKIEN's classic novels as their favourite big screen experience this year (04).

The PETER JACKSON OSCAR winner - which was the runaway victor in the survey - beat out contenders Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and JM BARRIE biopic Finding Neverland, which finished second and third respectively.

Lost In Translation and Harry Potter AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN completed the top five.

The two previous Lord Of The Rings films - THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and THE TWO TOWERS - scooped the title in 2002 and 2003.
