British rockers The Long Blondes have been forced to scrap a series of gigs after guitarist DORIAN COX was admitted to hospital in a "serious condition".
The star is being treated for an undisclosed illness at a hospital in Sheffield, England after he was admitted on 9 June (08).
The band have now cancelled all of their upcoming shows - including an appearance at legendary British music festival Glastonbury later this month (28-29Jun08).
The group issued a statement on their official websites telling fans the bad news. It reads: "On June 9, Dorian was rushed to hospital after falling ill, and he is still in hospital in Sheffield in a serious condition.
"Because of this we will regrettably be cancelling all our live appearances until the end of July. Dorian is improving slowly and we will keep you updated on his condition."
