The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard has dedicated the band's new album to his late father.

Pritchard's dad Bob died when the rocker was just three years old and he has always been open about his struggle to come to terms with his death.

The Kooks' latest record, See Me Now, is dedicated to his father and Pritchard insists working on the new material helped him find peace.

He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "My dad, Bob, should have lived longer... And it still cuts me up that he could never see me become a musician, being a songwriter and singer himself... It (the album) has helped me in my search for answers and I hope it will help others to find some peace when confronted by death."
