Cult rockers The Jesus And Mary Chain are to record their first album since 1998 following their recent reunion for a series of live performances. The group reformed in April (07) for a performance at California's Coachella Festival, and things have been going so well the band members have now decided to hit the studio. Frontman Jim Reid says, "The reunion is not necessarily about any nostalgia trip. There will be a new record, otherwise there wouldn't be any point to reforming." The last Jesus And Mary Chain album was 1998's Munki.
