The weekend's other new wide releases opened quietly. Kate Hudson and LUKE WILSON's romantic comedy ALEX + EMMA debuted at number seven with $6.2 million ( GBP3.8 million), while From Justin to Kelly, starring American Idol finalists KELLY CLARKSON and Justin Guarini, landed in 11th place with just $2.9 million (GBP1.8 million).
