London-based indie five-piece The History Of Apple Pie have just announced a handful of live dates and festival appearances over the next few months together with two special releases for Record Store Day and a digital single 'Glitch' in May.
The band will play a two London shows in April, including one at Shepherds Bush Empire as special guests of Phoenix on 22nd April followed by a headline show at White Heat the following night.They then make appearances at Wychwood, Long Division, Best Kept Secret, Truck, Stockton, Y Not and Victorious Festivals over the summer months.
The band will also release two special singles, limited to 1000 vinyl copies each, on Marshall Teller to celebrateRecord Store Day on the 20th April 2013.
First up is a 12" repressing of an original sold-out 2011 release of a split single that not only features The History of Apple Pie's 'Tug', but also tracks by Gross Magic, Echo Lake and Novella. The second release is a split 7" on blue vinyl featuring 'Glitch' from their acclaimed debut album 'Out Of View' and 'Dromes' by Young Husband on the flipside. 'Glitch' will also be released digitally on the 27th May.
Formed just over two years ago, The History Of Apple Pie line up is centered around the songwriting partnership of Stephanie Min (Vocals) and Jerome Watson (Guitar) together with Kelly Owens (Bass), James Thomas (Drums) and Aslam Ghauri (Guitar).
They recently released their debut album 'Out Of View' on Marshall Teller Records which was self produced, mixed by Charles 'Chicky' Reeves and engineered by Joshua Third of The Horrors, who also added his unique guitar sound to the albums closer 'Before You Reach The End'.
