The hip-hop stars decided to up the stakes in their friendly sporting rivalry and Drake was the one left out of pocket on Saturday (04Apr15) after the University of Wisconsin players upset the unbeaten favourites from the University of Kentucky, who had won 38 straight games before the big face off.

The Game celebrated his big win by boasting about his takings on Instagram.com.

Alongside a picture of the Wisconsin team's logo, he wrote, "Bet my bro @ChampagnePapi (Drake) a humble $6,000 on the Wisconsin x Kentucky game..... 3 key elements... 1, Wisconsin start with a 'W'... second, it's the day of the blood moon & 3rd... always bet on the RED team...."

Drake also took to the photo-sharing site and shared a snap of his stack of $100 bills, which he was preparing to surrender to The Game.

In the accompanying caption, he wrote, "Great season for the squad. Incredible group of guys that worked extremely hard under the leadership of @ukcoachcalipari. Congrats to the Badgers on a hard fought game and congrats to @losangelesconfidential (The Game) for taking some money off my hands. Not many ppl (people) can We'll be back next year!!!"

Drake wasn't the only celebrity fan saddened by the Kentucky upset - actress and former alumnus Ashley Judd was courtside at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana and was pictured smiling through the tears as the Wildcats fell 71-64 to the Badgers, who will now face North Carolina's Duke Blue Devils for the national championship on Monday night (06Apr15).
