The Game and Jim Jones have become the latest rappers to unveil plans for a collaborative album.

The hip-hop stars, who hail from opposite U.S. coasts, first teamed up for 2004 song Certified Gangstas, and now they have gone back in the studio to work on a full project together.

Jones, who recently reunited with his New York rap crew The Diplomats, broke the news to fans with a post on on Sunday (22Feb15), when he shared a photo of the old pals during a night out.

He captioned the picture, "2 of America's most wanted at (the) same time in (the) same place #CertifiedGansters #TheAlbum comin soon #eastVsWest connects again wait for it (sic)".

The news emerges days after Kanye West revealed he is keen to record an album with Drake after the success of his collaborative effort with Jay Z, Watch The Throne.
