The Doors drummer John Densmore has added award-winning documentary maker to his impressive resume after teaming up with his wife to make a film about juvenile delinquents.

Densmore produced his wife LESLIE NEAL's film, JUVIES, which was narrated by reformed hoodlum Mark Wahlberg.

The harrowing film has been awarded a Certificate for Creative Excellence at the 37th Annual Awards Competition of the US INTERNATIONAL FILM + VIDEO FESTIVAL.

And earlier this month (MAY04), Juvies was an official selection for the 2004 BEVERLY HILLS FILM FESTIVAL. It has also been selected for next month's (JUN04) HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in New York.

Meanwhile, Densmore is still warring with bandmates Ray Manzarek and ROBBY KRIEGER over their decision to tour as THE DOORS 21ST CENTURY with Ian Astbury. The drummer has refused to be a part of the reunion.
