Rockers The Cribs and The Horrors are doing their part to celebrate Britain's small venues by playing intimate gigs in their hometowns.
The bands are set to get up close and personal with fans in May (12) after signing up for NME's second annual campaign to find Britain's Best Small Venue.
The Cribs will perform at the Theatre Royal in their native Wakefield, England, while The Horrors' homecoming show will take place at Chinnerys in Southend-on-Sea.
The Horrors bassist Rhys Webb says, "We went to see Blur and Sleeper at Chinnerys, and Primal Scream, too - we had to sneak in because we were underage, and got right up to the stage for a couple of songs before getting chucked out."
Scottish group Twin Atlantic will take to the stage at Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, the venue which won the competition last year (11).
Fans can vote for their favourite low-capacity live music venues in the U.K. on the Nme website.
