Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam's estranged husband Ed Hartwell called police after he was prevented from entering the couple's former home, it has been claimed.
According to editors at Pagesix.com, law enforcement were called after the 37-year-old's mother Denise refused to allow former NFL footballer Hartwell to enter the property where he used to live with THE COSBY SHOW actress to collect the rest of his belongings.
Insiders told the news outlet former athlete Hartwell, who reportedly filed for divorce without telling his wife after just six months, arrived at the couple's rented home in Atlanta, Georgia, at a pre-arranged time.
The actress, who played Rudy Huxtable on the NBC show, wasn't home but had packed the former athlete's belongings into boxes and left them in the garage, reportedly instructing her mother not to let Hartwell into the house.
However the 38-year-old, who was previously married to The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu, claimed some of his things were missing and wanted to enter the house to collect them.
A source told Pagesix.com the father-of-one called the police to help him enter the house, and he was then able to collect the rest of his belongings alongside a police escort. “It hurt his feelings,” added the insider, “It’s just Keshia being petty.”
The pair's messy split, announced in July (16), was exacerbated after Hartwell demanded a paternity test on their unborn child. Knight Pulliam has denied accusations she cheated on her husband.
Hartwell and Knight Pulliam announced their engagement on New Year’s Eve 2015 and married on New Year’s Day (16) after dating for just four months.
