A boxer who fought on U.S. reality show The Contender has died after he was hit by a train on Monday morning (06Feb12).
Jeffrey Fraza, who appeared on the series in 2005, was struck by an empty train on the commuter tracks in his home city of Haverhill, Massachusetts.
His death is being investigated by authorities and fighter-turned-trainer Micky Ward has paid tribute to the 34 year old.
He tells the Boston Herald, "He was a great kid. I love him like a brother. I'm kind of in shock. He was going to try to make another run at it (boxing career). It's just a shame."
