Country star Terri Clark picked up her sixth Fans' Choice Award from the Canadian Country Music Association during a ceremony held on Monday night (11SEP06). CORB LUND GEORGE CANYON and country group the ROAD HAMMERS were double winners on the night. Lund claimed Best Album for HAIR IN MY EYES LIKE A HIGHLAND STEER and Roots Artist Of The Year, while Canyon's SOMEBODY WROTE LOVE claimed the Single Of The Year and he also won the Best Male Artist honour. The Road Hammers picked up Video and Group Of The Year prizes. Other winners at the annual awards show included CAROLYN DAWN JOHNSON (Best Female Artist) and EMERSON DRIVE stars DALE WALLACE (Best Keyboard Player) and DAVID PICHETTE (Fiddler Of The Year).
