Taylor Swift's ''strong, beautiful, smart'' friends inspired her upcoming album, '1989.'

The 24-year-old star claims she has changed a lot since her last album, 'Red,' which she recorded in 2012 when she ''was very enamoured by romance,'' and hopes her new music will reflect her fun and playful side.

The 'Shake It Off' singer, who has become close pals with model Karlie Kloss and 'Royals' hitmaker Lorde since moving to New York City last year, told Fusion magazine: ''All of a sudden, [I became] surrounded by this great group of strong, beautiful, smart women who challenge me and push me forward.''

But she added: ''My life is all about my friends right now, but I don't have any song that's like BEST FRIENDS ANTHEM. I really am trying to put these messages across subtly and tell stories where kind of those aspects of my life as felt rather than said to you.''

The '22' hitmaker, who hasn't been in a serious relationship since breaking up with Harry Styles in January 2013, also insists she isn't looking for love at the moment.

She said: ''At this point, I'm really just like, 'I wanna be with my friends!'

''I wanna define my life on my own terms. That's really my list of priorities now, which is different than it was a few years ago.''
