The Bad Blood singer landed nods for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Blank Space, and Album of the Year for 1989 when the four-category shortlist was announced by Alicia Keys on U.S. TV show CBS This Morning.

Swift's Record of the Year contenders include Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud, The Weeknd's Can't Feel My Face and Really Love by D'Angelo and the Vanguard.

Other nominees for Album of the Year include Alabama Shakes (Sound & Color), Kendrick Lamar (To Pimp a Butterfly), Chris Stapleton (Traveller) and The Weeknd (Beauty Behind the Madness).

Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud is also included in the Song of the Year category along with Swift's Blank Space, Kendrick Lamar's Alright, Little Big Town's Girl Crush and See You Again by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth.

Courtney Barnett, James Bay, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Meghan Trainor are in competition for the Best New Artist prize.

The 58th annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 15 February (16).
