Taylor Swift seems to be a hit with U.S. presidential clans both present and past. She was spotted boating with the Kennedy clan on Independence Day, according to USA Today. A snap of the country singer revelling in her boat trip with the famous Kennedy family has also emerged online.

Rory Kennedy has previously revealed that the family are full of support for the young musician. "I kept going (to her concerts) like a groupie," he told USA Today at the Sundance Festival earlier in the year. After one concert, the Kennedys, including daughters Georgia and Bridget got to meet Taylor backstage. It was then, apparently, that Taylor received the invite to hang out with the Kennedys at Hyannis Port in Cape Cod. Taylor spent a few days vacationing with them, taking full advantage of their respect for her concerts. Taylor apparently revealed that she, in turn, admired 84 year old Ethel Kennedy, saying to Rory "I have read all these books and I would love to meet your mother." Ethel herself has said "It's a street that goes both ways. Isn't she the best? She's so remarkable. You come away each time feeling elated."

At this year's Kids' Choice Awards, the current First Lady was also full of praise for the 22 year old. "Taylor Swift may be in the news most often for her award winning songs and multi-platinum records but every step of the way, she has always made it a point to give back. someone who has shattered every expectation of what a 22 year old can accomplish," said Michelle Obama at the awards ceremony.
