Russian pop act Tatu have ditched their moniker and svengali manager IVAN SHAPOVALOV - accusing him of being uninterested in developing their talent.

Bandmates Julia Volkova and LENA KATINA are sick of being the subject of scandalous rumours, designed by Shapovalov to increase their profile, and want to concentrate on their music.

The ALL THE THINGS SHE SAID duo were originally marketed as teenage lesbian lovers but it was soon revealed that both girls are straight.

Volkova says, "He spends his time thinking up scandals instead of planning our artistic work. I'm sure our fans would rather hear new songs and new albums than new scandals."

As Shapovalov owns the copyright to the name Tatu, the girls will change their name for any future recordings.
