Rapper Talib Kweli is fronting a new campaign to promote reading and literacy among the Chicago, Illinois youth.
The star has agreed to perform at two back-to-back Dare 2 Dream events at the city's House of Blues, with all profits benefiting the Working in the Schools (WITS) organisation to provide students with one-on-one tutoring programmes.
Jeff Sodikoff, President of the event's host, Platform One Entertainment, says, "I'm extremely proud and honoured to partner with the incredible Talib Kweli to help foster major awareness and raise important funding for Working In The Schools all while continuing our pursuit to harness the power of music and entertainment to benefit important causes."
The shows will take place on 2 May (09).
