Action man Sylvester Stallone is set to open up about his career successes and failures in a special question and answer session with fans in London next month (14).

The Rocky star will take a seat in the spotlight at Westminster's Central Hall on 11 January (14) for An Evening with Sylvester Stallone.

He tells the London Evening Standard newspaper, "I've had such a long career and so many ups and downs. I have a big mix of wonderful stories and colourful anecdotes."

The actor hopes the intimate chat will give fans a chance to see a different side of him, as many fans think he is reserved like his movie characters.

He explains, "Certain characters, mostly heroes, have to be the straight silent type, that is part of the make-up. When people meet me they're often surprised. I talk a great deal. I consider myself something of a raconteur.

"I have a rather audacious sense of humour. I'm perceived to be this solitary character but nothing could be further from the truth."
