Rocker Suzi Quatro has been forced to cancel a series of gigs after breaking her wrist and kneecap during a freak fall from a plane in Kiev, Ukraine.
The Devil Gate Drive hitmaker lost her footing while leaving the flight en route to America and detailed her injuries on Facebook.com.
Posting photos of her bandaged bits, Quatro wrote, "Roll on bad, heavy, lost footing, went down heavy, first impact right knee, broken, second impact left wrist, broke, third impact chin, bruised."
And now a statement on her official website reads: "Suzi has asked us to inform you all that she has had an accident whilst getting off an aircraft in Kiev. She has suffered a broken left wrist and broken right knee-cap and is in plaster cast for both. Unfortunately, this now means that Suzi's appearance in Detroit has been cancelled."
Quatro was billed to appear at the Detroit Music Awards in Michigan on 27 April (12), when she will be honoured with a Distinguished Achievement Award alongside sisters Patti and Arlene - as the Pleasure Seekers.
An update on her Facebook.com page reads, "I have been planning this day for months... rehearsing my parts of the show, rehearsing my acceptance speech, sending out invitations to people who I want to share this very special evening with me... I even had people flying in from Australia!!!
"I am in serious pain, inside and out. And don't know which is worse... The Queen of Rock and Roll, rolled one step too far."
Other shows have been scrapped and dates planned for Brazil in May (12) are still up in the air as Quatro recovers from her injuries.
The Pleasure Seekers will still perform at the Detroit Music Awards with 4 Non Blondes star Christa Hillhouse filling in for injured Quatro, according to Spinner.com.
