Susan Boyle is hoping to land a deal to perform regularly in Las Vegas next year and has announced plans for a Scottish tour.
Susan Boyle wants a residency in Las Vegas.
The ' I Dreamed A Dream' singer - who shot to fame after auditioning for UK reality TV show 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2009 - is hoping to sign a deal with a major hotel chain to stage a regular show in the US city next year in return for a multi-million dollar pay deal.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Las Vegas is one of the ultimate spots for a performer to play and a residency is a huge deal, but then Susan is a big star who's sold more than 19 million albums.''
Despite the glamour of the city, friends insist the 52-year-old performer won't be getting carried away and making diva demands.
The insider added: ''Susan loves Barry Tea, which is an Irish tea that's also really popular in Scotland. She doesn't like American tea, so she brings her own supply of tea bags.''
However, before she can begin preparing for any US shows, the Scottish star must first focus on her first-ever solo live tour, which begins in Inverness on July 2 and will see her perform six other shows in her home nation.
Speaking about the shows, Susan said: ''This is the first year that I feel I can hold my own on a stage for the full time and that I will be able to please an audience and my fans. So I will be performing on seven nights in Scotland as a tester to see if I enjoy it.
''One of the reasons I chose Scotland was to say thank you to my fellow Scots for their unwavering support over the past four years. The loyalty and kindness shown to me has been overwhelming, so now it's my turn to give something back.
''This is a big step for me but one that I'm very excited about. ''
