Summer Camp today announce the release of their new single 'Crazy', lifted from their recently released, critically acclaimed second album 'Summer Camp'. The single is out 31 March via Moshi Moshi.
To coincide with the release the band play a special one-off Club Attitude show at London's Islington Assembly Hall on 26 March. Club Attitude is run by Attitude is Everything to showcase the talents of disabled and non-disabled musicians and DJs, and to promote fully accessible events. They creatively experiment with access facilities such as sign language interpretation of lyrics and audio description for those with sensory impairments.
Summer Camp - Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey - released their self-titled second album in September 2013. Recorded with legendary producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur), 'Summer Camp' is an eleven-track marvel, cherry-picking the best bits of their 2011 debut 'Welcome To Condale' and 2012's 'Always EP', and weaving them into a confident, fully-realised body of work that befits the cliche 'all killer, no filler'. Following the album's release, the band embarked on their most extensive tour yet, spending the final three months of the year playing sold out shows across Europe.
In between, they made time to compose the original score to the forthcoming movie Beyond Clueless. Narrated by cult teen star Fairuza Balk, Beyond Clueless is a dizzying journey into the mind, body and soul of the teen movie, as seen through the eyes of over 200 modern coming-of-age classics. The film was written and directed by Charlie Lyne and will receive its world premiere at South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, in March.
