British indie rockers Suede have announced they're splitting to pursue "individual projects".
The ANIMAL NITRATE hitmakers - who shot to fame when their debut self-entitled album won the coveted Mercury Music Prize in 1994 - promise to fulfil all their touring commitments, before disbanding at the beginning of next year (04).
The band's statement reads, "Suede would like to announce that from next year they will be working on their own individual projects.
"There will not be a new studio album until the band feel that the moment is artistically right to make one. This announcement does not affect the forthcoming touring commitments.
"Suede would like to thank the fans for their wonderful support over the years. See you in the next life."06/11/2003 17:02
