The 25-year-old actress, who played Katy Armstrong in the ITV soap, is said to be eager to launch her career Stateside following the end of the Strictly Come Dancing UK tour.

Georgia is said to have asked her management team to put her forward for roles in both the UK and US, in the hope of furthering her acting career.

While the actress would love to land a high-profile Hollywood role, insiders claim it could be awkward if she bumps into her ex-boyfriend Sean Ward – who is also trying to break the US.

“Both Georgia and Sean are interested in movies as well as TV shows,” a source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “LA’s not a big place so they might well end up going for roles on the same project.

“It must be awkward knowing you could bump into your ex at any moment.”

Georgia split from actor Sean in January (16) and shortly afterwards was seen kissing her Strictly professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice, who she competed alongside on the last series of the BBC show. Georgia and Giovanni are clearly committed to the fledgling relationship as they have already moved in together. The happy couple are currently settling into a new London pad after Georgia decided to move down south and set up home in the capital.

“We did it! Hello london life ey @pernicegiovanniofficial,” the actress wrote on her Twitter account earlier this month (Feb16), alongside a photo of a set of keys.

Reports surfaced at the time of her split from Sean (Jan16), that he had fled to Los Angeles to deal with his heartbreak.
