A man has gone missing after watching the reformed Stone Roses play at Heaton Park in Manchester last Friday, June 29th. 22 year-old Christopher Brahney was one of 75,000 who went to see the four-piece make their triumphant homecoming that night, and part of 225,000 who went over the whole weekend.
However, getting back from the venue was reported tricky with few shuttle buses running like promised, and taxis suffering from an overload of people. Brahney has not been seen since and friends and family are urging anyone to come forward with information of his whereabouts, with the campaign now spreading quickly around social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. A group on the latter titled 'Help Find Chris Brahney' has more than 2,500 members.
In addition, local newspaper the Manchester Evening News has released the following police statement: "Christopher's family are clearly very worried about him and are desperate for any information relating to his whereabouts. ..We would urge anyone who may have seen him to contact the police. Christopher, if you see or hear this appeal, we would ask that you make contact with us or the police as soon as possible." Brahney is reported to be white, slim and with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue top, light blue shirt, maroon trousers and green wellington boots.
