Rocker Sting and his actress wife Trudie Styler struggled with renovations on their 18th century London townhouse - because parts of the property belong to THE QUEEN.
The celebrity couple worked with restoration architect Anthony Close-Smith on the remodel and Styler admits the project was frustrating at times because permits were needed for almost every little thing.
The actress tells Architectural Digest magazine, "We couldn't change a doorknob without getting a permit. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but that's how it felt.
"It was a huge amount of work and a huge amount of waiting, but whatever it took, it was worth it. It's a great, great family house. It now feels as if it has a heart."
The couple invited the publication's cameras into their impressive, renovated London home. The photos appear in the May (10) issue of the magazine.
