Rocker Stevie Nicks has confirmed longrunning rumours suggesting she was once pregnant with Don Henley's baby.

The Fleetwood Mac singer briefly dated the Eagles frontman during the late 1970s, after the end of her affair with bandmate Mick Fleetwood, and during their whirlwind romance, they conceived a child, which Nicks reportedly had aborted.

The personal drama is said to have been the inspiration behind Fleetwood Mac's song Sara and now Nicks has admitted the rock 'n' roll myth is true - although the track wasn't all about the unborn child.

She tells, "Had I married Don and had that baby, and had she been a girl, I would have named her Sara. But there was another woman in my life named Sara, who shortly after that became Mick's wife, Sara Fleetwood."

Nicks also previously dated her other Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Lindsey Buckingham.
