Former GUNS N' ROSES drummer STEVEN ADLER is desperate to reunite the band's original line-up, revealing he "prays to Jesus and God" to convince frontman Axl Rose to reform the group.
Rose kept the Guns N' Roses name after the departures of Adler in 1990, guitarist Slash in 1996 and bassist Duff MCKagan in 1997 - and released long-awaited comeback album Chinese Democracy in 2008 with a whole new line-up.
The singer has dismissed any suggestion of a reunion with Adler, MCKagan and Slash, citing bad blood between him and his former bandmates.
But Adler, who is currently battling to stay sober after a long and public addiction to drugs, hasn't given up hope.
He tells the Dalton Daily Citizen newspaper, "I put prayers in with Jesus and God all the time. 'Please just go talk to Axl,' I say.
"I love the stuff we did together in my heart and my soul. It needs to be taken out of the shell and put back in the world. Two generations of people have already missed it. I think it's unfair."
