A special version of hit Broadway musical SPAMALOT will premiere in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2007 in a specially-built venue.

Casino tycoon Steve Wynn has reached an agreement with the show's producers to stage the Tony Award-winning musical at his luxurious Sin City resort 12-times-a-week for ten years - at a reported cost of $50 million (GBP28.6 million).

He says, "One of the things I've missed in Las Vegas is wit - something that is really funny."

Spamalot, which is written by British comic Eric Idle and based on the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, opened in New York City earlier this year (05) to rave reviews and is set to tour America. A separate production is due to open in London's West End next year (06).
