Steve Nash Ex-Wife Says: 'He's Banning Me From Moving To Avoid Child Benefit Payments'

Steve Nash

Steve Nash ex-wife. Los Angeles Lakers b-baller Steve Nash is apparently doing everything in his power to prevent his ex-wife from moving to California with their three children, something his wife says is down to the fact that he wants to continue not paying child support for their kids.

His former wife, Alejandra, has been planning on uprooting from Phoenix so that her children can be closer to their father, but Nash is apparently doing all in his power to prevent the move happening, resulting in the former lovers currently being locked in a court battle. The two have conflicting arguments over why the move should/shouldn't happen, and it doesn't look as though things will be resolved any time soon.

According to TMZ, Nash, who famously turned down a move to the New York Knicks in favour of the Lakers in order to remain close to his family, say that the reason he doesn't want his ex-wife and kids to move to Cali is because it might distract from his game, resulting in him being traded or possibly forced into early retirement. However Alejandra has called BS on his excuse, saying the real reason he doesn't want them to move is because he has managed to avoid paying child support since he moved states, something he wants to continue doing for as long as possible.

Steve Nash Ex-Wife Says Basketball Ace Is Banning Her From Moving To L.A - To Avoid Child Support

Steve Nash ex-wife slams former husband. The former wife of Los Angeles Lakers star Steve Nash has revealed that her former hubby is banning her from moving to Los Angeles. The reason behind this; because the multi-millionaire doesn't want to child support for their three children.

According to TMZ , who have obtained court documents filed by Nash's ex, Alejandra, relating to the incident - the b-baller has tried numerous times to prevent his family from uprooting from Phoenix to LA, despite apparently choosing the Lakers over the New York Knicks in order to be closer to his children. Nash says that he doesn't want the family to move because it may result in him being traded or forced into retirement, however Alejandra is calling BS on his excuse.

Alejandra says that the actual reason Nash wants her and the kids to stay put in Phoenix is because the courts in California are more likely to force him into paying child support to his ex, a sum that could eventually reach a very high amount and something the Phoenix courts have failed to do so far. Alejandra says that so far Nash hasn't paid her a cent in child support, and he doesn't want to ruin what he has going for him. Alejandra is now taking Steve to court to demand payment and demand that he allow her and his family to move closer to him. She recalled Steve telling her that being so far from the kids is tough on him and that it would be better for everyone if they could spend more time together, however his actions have yet to match his words.

Like Mike Review

Good

By all rights, "Like Mike" should be a lousy movie. Designed as a slap-dash kiddie flick, built around a dumb plot device (magic sneakers turn a young orphan into an NBA all-star) and starring a flash-in-the-pan novelty hip-hopper (Lil' Bow Wow), its overall concept is thick with seemingly predictable, third-hand story elements. Will the kid find adoptive parents? Will his team win the big game? Well, duh.

But director John Schultz ("Drive Me Crazy") doesn't use the shoes as a storytelling crutch (they account for about four minutes of the whole movie), he gets charismatic performances from his cast of talented players, and he beats down almost every encroaching cliché, creating in their stead a smart kids' picture of delightful surprises.

Sure, as the film begins street-smart but endearingly sweet 14-year-old Calvin Cambridge (Bow Wow) is living in a laughably diverse group home (his two best friends are a white boy played by "Jerry Maguire's" Jonathan Lipnicki and an Asian girl played by Brenda Song), where he's picked on by a teenage bully and dreams of being adopted. "Parents only want the puppies," he moans.
