Steve Buscemi is set to star in a Hollywood remake of late Dutch film-maker Theo Van Gogh's 2003 movie INTERVIEW.

Van Gogh was murdered in an Amsterdam, Netherlands, street by Islamic extremist Mohammed Bouyeri, who was sentenced to life imprisonment earlier this year (05).

In the US version of Interview, Buscemi will play a political reporter reluctantly interviewing a soap opera actress, played by Jude Law's on/off girlfriend Sienna Miller.

Buscemi will also direct one of three remakes of Van Gogh's films, but it has not been confirmed if he will direct himself in Interview.

Meanwhile, MEN IN BLACK star Tony Shalhoub and Far From Heaven actress Patricia Clarkson will star in the US reworking of Van Gogh's 1996 film BLIND DATE, as a grieving couple reconnecting after the death of their child.
