Rocker KELLY JONES sympathises with Stereophonics fans who think the band's latest album is their least enjoyable to listen to while under the influence of marijuana.

Jones acknowledges that LANGUAGE.SEX.VIOLENCE.OTHER? is more aggressive than previous albums, and admits even bassist Richard Jones thought it would be a shock to some fans following their laid back JEEP (JUST ENOUGH EDUCATION TO PERFORM) disc.

Kelly says, "Richard said that this album sounded more like we'd put the spliff away because it was much faster than the last record. Nothing really to put away, just if you had a joint then the last record went down well with it.

"I think at the time of the JEEP tour all of us were pretty much having a good time. That was the peak of all that, then it became a lot more casual."
